WHY SHOULD I ASK FOR A NEWBORN HOME VISIT?

  • To make sure your baby is doing okay

  • To answer questions about your health and the health of your baby

WHAT IS THE FIRST STEP?

You may have been given information about home visits at the hospital. Please call Help Me Grow at 419-221-0014 for information and to set up a visit.  You can have a visit anytime within six weeks of leaving the hospital.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A NEW-BORN HOME VISIT?

A registered nurse can:

  • Tell you about the growth, health and safety of your new baby

  • Check your baby's weight, heart, lungs, head, length and growth

  • Offer information on help available in Allen County and the community

  • Answer questions you may have about your baby
