Although each child's development is different, there are common milestones in your child's growth.

 Birth to 3 months

• Smiles

• Lifts head when on tummy

• Follows moving objects with eyes

• Babbles and coos needs

• Rolls from side to side

• Takes an object if held near hand

• Transfers an object from hand to hand

• and hand to mouth

• Babbles - More than two sounds

• Laughs aloud

• Enjoys play

• Sits with minimal support

• Sits alone

• Plays with two objects at the same time

• Says "mama" and "baba"

• Pulls self up to standing

• May take steps with support

• Picks things up with thumb and one finger

• Stacks two blocks

• Gives toy on request

• May say 2-3 words

• Gives affection

• Walks alone

• Likes being read to

• Asks for items by name

• Uses 2 or 3 words together

• Partially feeds self - finger foods

• and use of a spoon

• Turns pages in a book

• Walks up stairs

• Stands on one foot

• Rides tricycle
